Re “Back to the Drawing Board for the MTA,” editorial, Sept. 8:
“Transit users” is a pretty phrase. Bus riders is the reality. Bus riders aren’t building the MTA’s monolithic headquarters. Bus riders didn’t make subway tunnel walls too thin. Bus riders haven’t caused explosions in the tunnels. Bus riders didn’t cause Hollywood Boulevard to sink. Bus riders didn’t share in the largess that was found for the Pasadena rail line. And bus riders are reluctant to share the pain? Just what or whose pain are we talking about?
