THOUSAND OAKS : Cal Lutheran to Mark FM Station’s Debut

Cal Lutheran University will celebrate the debut of its new public radio station, KCLU-FM, with a Sign-On Celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 20.
KCLU-FM will be the first National Public Radio affiliate based in Ventura County.
About 500,000 listeners will be able to tune into the station, which will air national programs such as “Morning Edition,” “Fresh Air” and “All Things Considered.”
The celebration includes live jazz, refreshments and a chance for guests to record messages for use on KCLU-FM. Radio personality Norman Corwin is scheduled to give a brief presentation.
