Hughes Data Systems: The Hughes Aircraft Co. subsidiary said Wednesday that it has been awarded a $38-million contract to provide computer workstations for the Navy.
The contract is an extension of a $175-million award made to an alliance between Hughes and Palo Alto-based Hewlett-Packard in 1992.
Hughes Data Systems, based in Irvine, will provide 1,250 workstations to the Navy, Coast Guard and the Marine Corps under the contract. The company expects to deliver the equipment by early 1996.
