Antelope Valley 62, Palmdale 14--Jermaine Lewis rushed for 132 yards in seven carries and scored on runs of 41, nine, 43 and four yards to lead Antelope Valley over Palmdale (0-9, 0-4) at home.
Antelope Valley (6-2, 4-0) held Johnny Gillespie, the league’s second-leading passer, without a completion and had three interceptions. Chad Murphy returned a Gillespie interception 34 yards for a touchdown, and Cade Smith added a 30-yard interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Murphy also had an 11-yard scoring run in the first period.
Jan Brown ran for 152 of Palmdale’s 189 total yards, scoring on runs of four and 65 yards.
