Man Arrested in Deaths of Gay Men in 3 States

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man accused of murdering three gay men in Florida, Georgia and Maryland confessed to those killings and three more after his arrest Tuesday, the sheriff said.
Gary Ray Bowles, 32, of Clifton Forge, Va., had been added Friday to the FBI’s list of 10 Most Wanted Fugitives.
Bowles confessed to murders in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Hilliard, Fla.; Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., and Wheaton, Md., Sheriff Jim McMillan said at a news conference. All of the victims had been severely beaten, bludgeoned and strangled. Some were shot.
