Braun, from Marina High, scored eight goals, had nine assists and six steals, in three games as Golden West won its sixth consecutive State water polo title for Coach Ken Hamdorf. Braun scored a team-high three goals as the Rustlers beat Long Beach, 10-6, in the title game. The teams split six meetings before the title game. Braun had two first-half goals as Golden West scored six consecutive times to take a 7-1 lead at the break. He had 114 goals this season.

* Orange Coast, sophomore. Clayton rushed for 149 yards in a 17-14 loss to Riverside and finished the season with 1,065 yards.
