ARKANSAS IN TOURNAMENT
--Defeated Texas Southern, 79-78. Razorbacks narrowly escape when Texas Southern’s Randy Bolden misses free throw with 6.1 seconds remaining.
--Defeated Syracuse, 96-94 (OT). Lawrence Moten called a timeout when Syracuse had none, allowing the Razorbacks to tie the score and send game into overtime.
--Defeated Memphis, 96-91 (OT). Memphis had a one-point lead with 11 seconds to play when a questionable hand check sent Arkansas to the foul line where they sent the game into overtime.
--Defeated Virginia, 68-61. Corliss Williamson scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Virginia shot only 33.9% from the floor.
NORTH CAROLINA IN TOURNAMENT
--Defeated Murray St., 80-70. Serge Zwikker scored 19 points off the bench to help the Tar Heels rally from halftime deficit.
--Defeated Iowa State, 73-51. The Tar Heels trailed by 15 points early until three scoring runs (14-0, 11-0, 21-4) put them in control.
--Defeated Georgetown, 74-64. The Tar Heels rushed out to a 15-point first half lead and never trailed.
--Defeated Kentucky, 74-61. Tar Heels romped as Kentucky shot only 28% (21 for 75) from the floor.
OKLAHOMA STATE IN TOURNAMENT
--Defeated Drexel, 73-49. Bryant Reeves had 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Cowboys’ rout.
--Defeated Alabama, 66-52. Reeves scored 26 points and the Cowboy defense held Crimson Tide to 36% shooting.
--Defeated Wake Forest, 71-66. The Cowboys’ Andre Owens picked up ball when Randolph Childress lost control with 15 seconds remaining, sealing the victory.
--Defeated Massachusetts, 68-54. Reeves scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Cowboys romped.
