Jerry West, Laker executive vice president, was named to an 11-member panel that will select the players and coaches for next year’s U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team.
Rod Thorn, NBA senior vice president, will head the panel, which includes Atlanta Hawk General Manager Pete Babcock and Denver Nugget President and Coach Bernie Bickerstaff.
