An unidentified Hollywood Park bettor hit the second-largest Pick Six in track history Thursday after a two-day carryover.
Keyed by Don’t Read My Lips’ $108 upset in the eighth race, the ticket, which was bought at the track, was worth $620,691.80. The largest Pick Six payoff at the Inglewood track was $761,627.40 on Dec. 2, 1994.
There were two successful favorites in the sequence--Arabian Treasure in the fourth and Vee B in the sixth. The other winners were Donthesilks at 3-1 in the fifth, Color Me Speed at 7-1 in the seventh and Here’s Jack at 8-1 in the ninth.
Earlier on the card, Bridge Of Royalty, a 2-year-old son of Slew’s Royalty, broke the track record for 4 1/2 furlongs with a time of 50 2/5 seconds. The old record of 51 was set by Cat’s Cradle last May 19. The 5-2 second choice, ridden by Chris Antley, won by six lengths.
