COLLEGE BASEBALL ROUNDUP : Pierce Ties Up Share of WSC South Division Title, 15-5

Pierce College clinched a share of the Western State Conference South Division title with a 15-5 victory over Glendale on Thursday at Glendale.
Cesar Martinez had four hits for the Brahmas (24-16, 19-6), including his fourth home run, and drove in three runs.
Pierce, which had 16 hits, clinched its fifth consecutive state playoff appearance.
The Brahmas are a game ahead of Bakersfield with one game to play. The Brahmas play host to Mission on Saturday and Bakersfield will play host to Canyons.
Canyons 5, Valley 4--Mike Oliver’s two-out ninth-inning single drove in Gabi Halcovich and John Franklin to give the Cougars (19-25, 14-11) a WSC South Division victory.
Chris Butler had three hits and drove in a run for the Monarchs (10-26, 7-18).
Bakersfield 8, Mission 7--Anthony Martinez had three hits and an RBI for the Free Spirit, but the Renegades took a 4-0 lead in the second inning and didn’t trail in the WSC South Division game at El Cariso Park.
Rene Rodriguez had two hits, an RBI and scored a run, and George Ruan had two hits and scored twice for Mission (12-29, 8-17).
Jamar Bradshaw had two hits for Bakersfield (29-11, 19-6).
Hancock 13, Moorpark 9--Guy Guiffre had two home runs, including a grand slam, in the bottom of the sixth in a WSC North Division game at Hancock.
The teams are tied for first place with one game left. Hancock would win the tiebreaker based on head-to-head competition.
Oxnard 11, Santa Barbara 7--Rick Garcia (3-1) pitched six innings, allowing six hits, striking out one and walking two and Oxnard (23-18, 11-13) had 15 hits in a WSC victory at Santa Barbara.
Scott Foli had two hits, including his first home run, and four RBIs for the Condors.
Antelope Valley 7, Victor Valley 1--David Glick tossed a three-hitter and struck out 12 for the Marauders in a Foothill Conference game at Antelope Valley.
Todd Barnes, Eric Cole, Jeff Tepper and Will Wallace all homered for Antelope Valley (19-16-1, 14-12).
Barnes’ seventh homer extended his hitting streak to 28 games.
