Rancho Santiago won its second state community college baseball title in three seasons with a 12-2 victory over Cerritos at Fresno City College. Rancho Santiago beat Sacramento for the title in 1993, and the Dons finished second in the state to Cypress last season.
Toby Sanchez had four hits, including a mammoth home run, for Rancho Santiago, which had 15 hits. Shortstop Tony Zuniga had three hits, including a home run.
Matt Montgomery (4-0) got the win for Rancho Santiago (42-9). Cerritos finished 39-14.
