CYPRESS : City Honors Teen Who Won Essay Contest

The City Council has honored a 15-year-old resident, Matthew Conde, for winning a countywide essay contest sponsored by the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Council.
The council presented Conde, son of Dave and Viki Conde, a city Certificate of Special Recognition after he read his essay to the council and audience.
“Best wishes and congratulations,” Mayor Cecilia L. Age said.
Police Chief Daryl Wicker added: “It’s a terrific essay, and I appreciate your taking the time to read it.”
