RIDGECREST, Calif. — A mild earthquake rattled the high desert of Southern California on Sunday but there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The magnitude 3.5 shaker, which hit at 11:12 a.m., was centered 11 miles north of Ridgecrest, said Jim Mori, a seismologist at Caltech in Pasadena.
Mori said the temblor was an aftershock of a magnitude 5.4 quake that struck the Ridgecrest area Aug. 17.
