Paraclete 34, Bell-Jeff 6--Sal Iabichela gained 133 yards in 11 carries and scored two touchdowns, and the Paraclete defense held the Guards to 104 yards at Burroughs High.
Paraclete (2-1) opened the scoring in the second quarter when Iabichela ran 23 yards. The score capped a seven-play, 88-yard drive that included a 45-yard run by Iabichela.
After Paraclete took a 20-0 lead on a 31-yard option pass from Lance Austin to Jesse Loa, Bell-Jeff scored with 34 seconds left in the first half on a 10-yard pass from Matt Stanley to David Montes.
Bell-Jeff (0-3) was held to six yards rushing. Stanley completed seven of 13 passes for 65 yards.
