Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones will meet with a selected group of NFL owners today to try to settle the league’s $300-million lawsuit against him because of the lucrative Pepsi and Nike deals.
Jones said Tuesday: “I’d like to see this thing resolved and out of the public eye. “

The Green Bay Packers put kicker Dirk Borgognone on waivers and signed tight end Jeff Wilner.
Borgognone handled kickoffs for Green Bay while the team’s regular kicker, Chris Jacke, was sidelined because of an injury.
