Granada Hills Community Hospital will sponsor a free lecture Monday to alert women that they too are susceptible to heart disease, the hospital announced.
“Heart Attacks Happen to Women Too!” will be led by Ellen Daroszewski, clinical educator at the hospital.
The two-hour event will include discussions of risk factors for heart disease, symptoms of coronary artery disease, how to recognize cardiac arrest and how to assist paramedics during a heart attack.
Sponsored by the hospital’s education department, the lecture is one of several presentations the facility offers each year, staff member Beverly Stanev said.
The lecture will begin at 7 p.m. in the hospital’s first-floor conference room near the entrance.
The hospital is located at 10445 Balboa Blvd. in Granada Hills. For more information, call (818) 831-6821.
