Brenda Villa is the only girl to start on the Bell Gardens water polo team. The 5-foot-7 sophomore is a two-year starter and one of the leading scorers for the Lancers, who are 23-3 and ranked No. 1 in the Southern Section’s Division III. A member of the junior national team, Villa plans to continue the sport in college. She is a honor student ranked in the top 10 of her class.
