Regarding Kevin Thomas’ “Silent Movie Screenings to Help Preservation Work” (Calendar, Oct. 16): Your occasional articles about the screenings at the Silent Movie are much appreciated. Where else could one see such a unique film as Roland West’s “The Bat Whispers”?
Most people do not realize that our Silent Movie is the only one of its kind in the world!
Please continue to keep your Calendar readers aware that silent films are an essential part of our film heritage and still deserve to be seen.
