In a preliminary hearing Monday, three men were ordered to stand trial in the follow-home murder and robbery of a Brentwood man during an attempted carjacking.
Lewis Anthony Harris, 34, Bennie Lee Kamack, 41, and Dexter Johnson, 35, are charged with one count of murder and two counts of robbery in the fatal stabbing of Craig Jarrell Harrington on May 6.
Prosecutors allege that the three defendants followed Harrington and his wife into the subterranean garage of their Montana Avenue condominium after the couple returned from shopping. Harris allegedly stabbed Harrington with a knife, and he and Johnson robbed the pair and attempted to steal the couple’s Mercedes-Benz before fleeing.
They have pleaded not guilty.
