Compton police seized 10 firearms and a crossbow Thursday from the homes of members of a gang accused of killing two young brothers last month.
Ballistic experts are examining three assault rifles confiscated during 13 early-morning raids to determine if they were used in the Oct. 28 shooting that killed 12-year-old Bobby Millan and his 14-year-old brother Mario as they returned home from a Halloween party.
Police have arrested a 17-year-old member of the gang who they believe fired the shots from a vehicle that was chasing the truck in which the victims rode. Detectives suspect that the shots were aimed at a different passenger who has links to a rival gang. No arrests were made Thursday.
