Southland to See Moderate Economic Growth: The five-county Los Angeles region can expect moderate economic growth in 1996, with total non-employment to grow by 2.1%, according to a forecast to be released today by the Economic Development Corp. of Los Angeles County. That compares to 1995 expected job growth of about 1.8%, the report says. Growth will be led by international trade and motion picture and television production. Aerospace and high-technology should see the end of their employment declines next year, the report adds. Despite the expected growth, Los Angeles County will remain below its 1989 job peak.
