NHL ROUNDUP : Montreal Wins Again on Road

Oleg Petrov had a goal and an assist Wednesday night as the Montreal Canadiens continued their fine road play with a 4-1 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.
Petrov scored the game’s decisive goal in the third period of his team’s third road victory in a row.
Buffalo 2, Dallas 1--Dominik Hasek had 29 saves and Randy Burridge and Pat LaFontaine each scored a goal to give the Sabres a win at Buffalo.
Buffalo took the lead at 12:32 of the second period on Pat LaFontaine’s goal.
Brad May sent a blind pass from behind the goal to Donald Audette, who one-timed his pass to LaFontaine.
Hartford 3, Ottawa 2--Frantisek Kucera scored his first goal of the season with 1:06 remaining to lift the Whalers at Hartford.
Kucera took a cross-ice pass from Geoff Sanderson and lifted the puck past Ottawa goaltender Don Beaupre for the Whalers’ third victory in 12 games.

New Jersey traded backup goaltender Chris Terreri to San Jose for a second-round pick in the 1996 entry draft.
