Pedestrian, 78, Killed by Car in Anaheim

ANAHEIM — A 78-year-old woman was struck and killed from behind by a car Wednesday as she was walking north along North West Street, police said.
A 24-year-old driver also was heading north on North West Street in the 400 block at 7:30 p.m. when he hit the Anaheim woman. The pedestrian, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was taken to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where she died. The driver was not cited, and the accident remains under investigation.
