1 Killed, Another Hurt in 2-Car Crash

CANYON COUNTRY — A 25-year-old man was killed and another person injured in a two-car collision Saturday on Sierra Highway north of Sand Canyon Road, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 6 p.m., closing both lanes of the highway, said California Highway Patrol Officer Kerri Hawkins. Identities of the victims were not released.
Los Angeles County fire dispatcher Charlotte Kramer said the injured person was airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia.
The extent of the person’s injuries were not known, she said.
