Fat Worms Leave Trout Breathless

Trout are becoming increasingly active at many local lakes and, no, Power Bait isn’t the top fish-catcher this week.
Worms are. Night crawlers, inflated with air to make them look bigger, seem to be what the trout want.
Top catches on the puffy worms:
--Dave Pearson of Anaheim, five trout totaling 23 pounds 2 ounces, at Irvine Lake.
--Dale Tiskorz of Riverside, an 11-pound 3-ounce trout, at Corona Lake.
--Frank Cravo of Oceanside, a 5-pound 2-ounce trout, at Cuyamaca Lake east of San Diego.
