You report that the upcoming Neil Jordan film on the life of Michael Collins will be the first film to tell the story of the rebel Irish leader (“A Heroic Effort,” by David Gritten, Dec. 3). Wasn’t 1936’s “Beloved Enemy,” starring Brian Aherne and Merle Oberon, based on Collins’ life?
