$808,254 in Pledges Received in Telethon

An unprecedented $808,254 was pledged by callers Sunday during a seven-hour KVEA-TV Channel 52 telethon to benefit Navidad on el Barrio (Christmas in the Neighborhood).
Proceeds from the event, which was broadcast live from the Raleigh Studios in Hollywood, will help feed more than 20,000 families in Southern California.
