About 1,000 customers were without electricity for more than six hours Wednesday afternoon when an underground electrical cable connector failed, said Warren Matney with Southern California Edison Co.
The power failure occurred about 12:20 p.m., leaving several business offices near Market and Donlon streets without electricity. Also, traffic lights went out, but there were no traffic accidents, according to Ventura police.
By 1:30 p.m., about 900 customers had electricity restored and by 7 p.m. power had been completely returned.
