Lancer Bands Plan Spring Concert

The Thousand Oaks High School Lancer bands are set to hold their annual spring concert March 21 at the Probst Center for the Performing Arts in Thousand Oaks.
“The purpose of the concert is twofold,” said Susan Herron, head of band publicity and parent of a band member. “It supports the band program, and it’s also a great experience for the kids. Many people don’t realize that after the fall marching band season, the band breaks into subgroups, such as the wind ensemble, jazz band, concert band and percussion ensemble.”
All four groups are scheduled to perform at the 7:30 p.m. concert, and proceeds will go toward maintaining school band instruments, purchasing new instruments and operating the school band program.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for students and $25 for seats in the Probst Center’s Founders Circle. Tickets can be ordered in advance or bought at the door.
