Obituaries : Alma Pearl Wilson; 78-Year County Resident

Alma Pearl Wilson, a longtime Ventura County resident, died Sunday at Ojai Valley Community Hospital after a long illness. She was 83.
Wilson, who was born June 5, 1912, in Savannah, Mo., moved to Ventura County 78 years ago. She resided in Ojai for 49 years.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Ojai.
She is survived by her husband, Merlin “Bill” Wilson of Ojai; her daughter, Sheron Rhoades of Ojai; her sons, Richard Atkinson of Santa Ynez and David Atkinson of Oak View; five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Clausen Funeral Home in Ojai.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Clausen Funeral Home. The Rev. Wilbur Skeels of First Baptist Church in Ojai will officiate. Burial will follow in Ivy Lawn Cemetery in Ventura.
