WESTMINSTER — An elderly man died Saturday after suffering severe burns in a fire at his mobile home, officials said.
The man, whose name was not available late Saturday, was 70 to 80 years old, according to hospital and Orange County Fire Department officials. He lived in a mobile home park in the 9800 block of Bolsa Avenue.
Dennis Shell, a Fire Department spokesman, said the blaze was reported just before 8 p.m. Firefighters arriving a few moments later found the man unconscious inside his home, with second-degree burns on his face and neck.
Paramedics transported him to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where he died a short time later, Shell said.
