No Injuries in House Fire Caused by Faulty Wiring

MEINERS OAKS — Faulty wiring sparked a fire Sunday in a Carrizo Street home.
The fire started about 1:45 p.m. in the space between the first and second floors at 231 Carrizo St. When firefighters from the Ventura County Fire Department arrived on the scene, the fire had spread into the second story.
Fire crews contained the flames within 30 minutes. No one was injured.
The blaze, however, caused $65,000 damage to the $125,000 house and $10,000 damage to its contents, according to the Fire Department.
