Regina Fodor, a former fund-raiser for the UCLA School of Public Policy and Social Research, has been appointed director of external relations for the UC Irvine School of Social Ecology.

Fodor, a Newport Beach resident, has 15 years of experience in strategic planning and business development for nonprofit organizations and corporations.

Before working for UCLA, she was executive director of the French-American Foundation in New York, which organized academic exchanges and public policy programs.

At UCI, Fodor will serve as a liaison between Social Ecology Department researchers and community and business leaders, public agencies and elected officials.
