USC to Host Staging of ‘Push da Wind’

Lisa Harper’s drama “An’ Push da Wind Down” will be staged Sunday at USC’s Bovard Auditorium before its showcase performances in the American College Theater Festival at the Kennedy Center on April 22-23.
The play, about a young black girl in the 1830s who escapes slavery and is raised by Cherokee Indians, is a combined student-professional production. Admission: tax-deductible donations accepted. Information: (213) 740-1287.
