Lockheed’s Former Headquarters for Sale
Lockheed Martin Corp., which is negotiating to sell the former Lockheed headquarters building in Calabasas, has leased offices in Westlake Village for the 70 administrative employees who will remain in the area.
The workers are moving to the 20,274-square-foot offices in the Westlake Office Park because the aerospace concern no longer needs a building as large as its former headquarters, which housed 250 employees. Lockheed merged with Martin Marietta in March 1995, and the new company is based in Bethesda, Md.
Countrywide Credit Industries, a large Pasadena mortgage lender, is in talks to acquire the old Lockheed headquarters facility.
