SANTA ANA — A 19-year-old man was shot to death Saturday inside his apartment in what appears to be a gang-related attack, police said.
The victim, Gabriel Ramos Ochoa, was found dead by police officers who were called to the man’s apartment in the 1200 block of East Borchard Street at 11:18 a.m. Ochoa had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, Police Sgt. Dick Faust said.
Two people had entered the apartment and a short time later shots were heard, Faust said, adding that the pair fled the area on foot.
