OUTLOOK
If there’s a bright note to the Warriors’ forgettable 1995 season, it’s this: They did score in their final four games after getting shut out in five of their first six. Woodbridge also took Irvine to the limit before losing, 7-6, a defeat sealed by a muffed punt with 1 minute 45 seconds left--the Warriors’ only turnover. This year’s team has good speed and quickness, but it is small, and that’s never a good sign in a physical league such as the Sea View. Quarterback Lawyer (41.2%, 11.7 yards per completion, one touchdown, six interceptions), with a year of varsity behind him, should be better, but will have to find a WR other than the graduated Ricky Jenkins (41 catches, 367 yards); Millat or the Barlow brothers could emerge as that replacement.
