Columbine Financial Now Synthonics Technologies

Columbine Financial Corp. in Westlake Village has changed its name to Synthonics Technologies Inc.
Synthonics develops technology for creating three-dimensional computer models.
The company said the new name reflects its goal of concentrating on next-generation digital-imaging technologies.
New applications are expected to include the low-cost production of motion picture special effects and video games, and products for 3-D electronic commerce and medical diagnosis and treatment.
