Ventura County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man who robbed a clerk in a Thousand Oaks dry-cleaning store at gunpoint, officials said Tuesday.
Investigators said the robber, a white male between 25 and 30 years old, entered North Oaks Dry Cleaners on East Avenida de los Arboles through a back door late Monday, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
The unidentified clerk gave the robber his wallet, and the gunman fled through the front door, officials said. No one was hurt.
The clerk reported the holdup immediately, and investigators launched a search of the neighborhood but were unable to locate the robber, who was described as wearing a T-shirt and jeans.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department at 494-8255.
