Reader Finds Information On Betting a Bit Odd

Why is it the Times can’t publish basketball odds and the football odds are printed on the very back page in a tiny font? The only time the football odds aren’t on the back page is when T.J. Simers does his football column on Friday. Why does the Times have this “holier than thou” attitude toward gambling? It wasn’t long ago when there were no football odds all in the Times. But obviously, someone sees the need and value of printing them now. Why print one and not the other? The most reputable sports section in the U.S is not complete without a comprehensive odds section.
