FDA Clears Lung Device

IRVINE — A Gish Biomedical Inc. oxygenator that essentially replaces the activity of the lungs during surgery has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the company said Tuesday. Gish, which makes disposable surgical products, said the oxygenator, called the Vision, will be fully available by next spring.
