TONIGHT’S GAME
NONCONFERENCE
* OHIO (1-2) at CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE (1-3)
Time--7. Radio--KWNK (670).
Exclude a 95-73 loss to UCLA, and Northridge has lost two games by a combined five points. “Take out the UCLA game and the first half at Loyola [Marymount] and these guys have basically done what I’ve asked them to do,” first-year Coach Bobby Braswell said. The only consistent scoring has come from guard Gerald Rhoden, who averages 15 points. Ohio, of the Mid-American Conference, played Illinois State on Saturday with only seven players because five were suspended for disciplinary reasons. They will return tonight. Curtis Simmons, one of the suspended players, will play but not start. The 6-foot-5 forward averages 12 points. Ohio’s leading scorer is 5-8 guard Geno Ford, who is averaging 21.7 points. The Bobcats, whose centers are 6-9, 270-pound Ed Sears and 6-10, 280-pound Andy Kanzig, will present matchup problems for the smaller Matadors.
