Justin Nyberg of Irvine has been accepted at Princeton, where he will continue to run cross-country, Irvine Coach Fred Bosley said Tuesday.
Nyberg, a Times all-county first-team selection, will major in English. He also considered UCLA and California.
Nyberg was the Sea View League finals champion and finished second in the Southern Section Division I finals in a personal-best time of 14 minutes 26 seconds. He finished eighth in the state Division I finals.

La Habra offensive tackle Jason Koontz, 17, has committed to attend Colorado State this fall, Coach Rick Milhizer said. A two-year starter who earned All-Freeway League honors this season, the 6-6, 250-pound Koontz also considered at San Diego State and Utah State.
“He probably was the lineman here with the most college potential,” Milhizer said. “A great pass blocker.”
