Pepperdine has lost five in a row, and Northridge’s only victory is against Division II Cal State Dominguez Hills. Pepperdine has been outscored, 124-65, from the free-throw line. Northridge has struggled from the line as well, shooting 57%. Center Bryan Hill leads Pepperdine with averages of 15.4 points and 7.3 rebounds. Northridge guard Derrick Higgins, who began the season as a starter but was benched when Gerald Rhoden got hot, may have won his job back Monday by scoring 13 points on five-of-eight shooting.
