Arroyo Grande 2, Kennedy 1--Carlos Perez scored 10 minutes into the second half, pulling the Golden Cougars (4-5-1) into a short-lived tie in a semifinal.
Chatsworth 2, Dos Pueblos 1--Basil Grant scored in the 10th minute and Leo Gimenez trotted out from the goal to convert a penalty kick in the 50th minute for the Chancellors (4-5-1) in a consolation quarterfinal.
In the Hart tournament:
Cleveland 0, Hart 0--Alexi Dmitriew made eight saves in regulation for the Indians (5-2-4) but couldn’t stop penalty kicks and the Cavaliers advanced to the final, 3-1, in a shootout.
Cleveland outshot Hart, 15-8, in regulation play, and will face Saugus in the championship match at 2:30 p.m. Monday. The Cavaliers are attempting to become the first repeat champion in tournament history.
Canyon 2, Antelope Valley 0--Kevin Garrison and Jeramy Risser scored second-half goals for the Cowboys (8-3) in a consolation bracket semifinal. Goalie Warren Johnson had five saves, but he and forward Mike Seward of Antelope Valley (3-5-1) both suffered ankle injuries in a collision late in the match.
GIRLS
Canyon 3, Valencia 0--Nicki Melillo, Nicole Modugno and Melissa Smith scored first-half goals and the Cowboys (5-1-4) advanced to Monday’s final of the Hart tournament against Temple City.
