Changes Overdue for Library Agency
After three years of listening to county Library Service Agency’s hierarchy and concerned citizen groups whine that the lack of money was causing libraries to cut hours of operation, we learn that not only can hours now be extended but the three threatened small branches can remain open by simply getting staff off their butts and out into the field.
While this may not prove a complete dereliction of duty on the part of LSA leadership, it most certainly suggests the presence of incapable derelicts on duty. Dixie Adeniran says her brainstorm “is sort of phase one.” The Board of Supervisors should take charge of phase two and “sort of” send the LSA director and her staff down the road before taxpayers are forced to pick up the tab for the retirements of this inept bunch.
