Coogan’s Bluff (TNT Sunday at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.), in which Don Siegel directs Clint Eastwood as a western lawman set down in Manhattan, commences an Eastwood trilogy which includes two westerns: Joe Kid (at 11 a.m.) and High Plains Drifter (at 12:55 p.m. and 11 p.m.).
A Fool There Was (AMC Monday at 6:30 a.m.) None of Theda Bara’s extravagant Fox spectacles, which made her, for a few years, a star of the magnitude of Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford are known to exist, but this 1915 movie which established her as the screen’s premiere vamp fortunately does. It’s very dated, sometimes laughably, but Bara’s smoldering femme surely is fatale.
