Does any sane person really believe that you could find 10 million people to donate $30 each to keep the Dodgers? Does L.A. really care who owns the Dodgers? Just play ball!

For those Dodger fans hoping a corporation will spend the bucks necessary to make the team a contender, guess again. Corporations today care nothing about employees or customers.
And for the corporation buying the Dodgers, when deciding how much to bilk your customers, keep five things in mind: Rancho Cucamonga, Lancaster, Adelanto, San Bernardino and Lake Elsinore.

While many L.A. fans are feeling a sigh of relief over Mike Piazza’s signing, I am grieving even more now. It’s easy to say we have just lost the true Mike Piazza, the young man who in his first two years told every journalist interviewing him: “I’m just glad to be out here on the same field with all these fine players while playing for the fans.” Well, Mike, now you can play for your agents and yourself.
