Tom Egan, 59, veteran television producer who worked on such early shows as “Captain Kangaroo” and “The Gary Moore Show.” Egan began his career in radio during his student days at Fordham University. After producing live shows in New York, Egan moved west in the late 1960s and worked with Bob Banner Associates, producing such shows as “The American West of John Ford.” More recent credits on television movies and specials include “Mongo’s Back in Town,” “Thicker Than Water,” “The Last Survivors,”’ “The Grass Is Always Greener Over the Septic Tank” and “Dorf’s Family Stump” and the series “Nurse.” On Thursday in Woodland Hills of cancer.
