Edward W. Capps Jr.; Vaudeville Entertainer

Former vaudevillian Edward Walker Capps Jr. of Thousand Oaks died Wednesday in Avalon. He was 87.
Capps was born Aug. 3, 1909, in St. Louis. He spent many years as a vaudeville musician and later worked as a painter for Lockheed.
He is survived by daughters Barbara Toro of Thousand Oaks, and Jane Davis of Avalon; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary Chapel, Thousand Oaks. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Newbury Park First Christian Church.
Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary, Thousand Oaks.
